Tribal Welfare Initiatives in India by India Tribal Care Trust

Tribal people are most surely the most neglected community that receives hardly any benefit that we people have in our daily life. But thankfully there are few establishments that work for these people with a hope of bringing some light to their space. ITCT - India Tribal Care Trust is such a vibrant name. ITCT is a Kolkata-based NGO for tribal people. Let's know some facts and features of ITCT, also some there work areas.

Education -

Is not it one of the most important factors in life? Well, I personally believe after Health, Education is something that we never think of neglecting. At least we should not. Education has the power to enlighten one's life. Lack of education - illiteracy is a barrier to the tribal people that ITCT effectively has been trying to remove. Some noble initiatives like - establishing pathsala, schools, free coaching centers, hostels for children, sponsorship programs for needy and poor students, scholorships are few highlighting progress towards the educational development from ITCT's end. Poor tribal also find it very helpful and encouraging to send their children to school on scholorships or sometimes free education concept.

Health -

Health is wealth. But the deprived tribal communitioes are really unfortunate to get the basic health benefits. ITCT has realized this issue needa a strong addressing, thus initiatives like setting health awareness seminars, distributing first-aid kits, medical camps, treatment arrangement for acute patients etc are some points to highlight.

Social Care -

Taking care of various social issues like providing Clean and safe drinking water to the tribal families, initiatives towards women empowerment through providing tailoring training centers, cloth weaving etc to make tribal women self-sustained. Also vocational training, disaster relief, housing projects etc. are few of the mentioning of India Tribal Care Trust work projects.
